The Journals of Daniel Jeddiah Hammon Sr. First Mission were handed down to Dee Jay Hammon (Grandson) from his aunt Edna Claudine Hammon Crossley (Daughter of Daniel Jeddiah Hammon Sr.)
In 2005 Edith Sly Hanson (Great Granddaughter) copied the pages of the journal for a few printed copies. Dee Jay Hammon presented one of the copies to John Hammon Crossley (Grandson, son of Edna Claudine Hammon Crossley). John Crossley's children wanted copies of the journals as well so the pages that Edith had copied were scanned into .pdf format and copied to a disc. Due to space considerations on the CD the color pictures were converted to .jpeg format and only modified for clarity when needed. The tan leather cover of the first 3 journals was added as background to the cover copies of the last 2 journals. The letters and family history documents are included in the Letters and Credits folder. The .pdf files can be read on screen and/ or printed out with the download of the free adobe reader from Adobe. The files were created with Adobe Acrobat 7 Standard. The .jpeg files (pictures) can be viewed/ printed from the Microsoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Go to http://www.adobe.com to down load Adobe reader if needed. This journal on CD will be available to any descendant who wishes a copy. Please contact John H. Crossley if you are interested.
